Yaya Mayweather Says Her Relationship With NBA YoungBoy Is Officially Over: “That Ship Has Sailed”

Yaya Mayweather has made it clear that getting back together with NBA YoungBoy isn’t happening anytime soon.

Earlier this week, the rapper’s ex surfaced in a viral clip singing along to one of his songs. The video was later reposted by a fan on X, who wrote: “She love her baby daddy more than he will ever love her and it’s sickening.”

Yaya didn’t let the comment slide and quickly shut down the assumptions, making it clear that she simply enjoys the music and nothing beyond that.

“No i don’t want to still be with my child’s father, no i’m not still in love with him, no i’m not obsessed that ship has sailed,” she wrote. “So can we please let that narrative go? i just enjoy the music like everyone else, that’s it nothing more to it. thanks for coming to my ted talk.”

Yaya Mayweather, the daughter of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Melissa Brim, is among the 10 women who share children with NBA YoungBoy. The former couple share a 4-year-old son, Kentrell DeSean Gaulden Jr., who is the fourth-youngest out of the rapper’s 13 children.

Back in February, NBA YoungBoy revealed that he and his wife, Jazlyn Mychelle Hayes, had welcomed their 13th child together.

The rapper became a father for the first time at 16 when he welcomed his son Kayden with ex-girlfriend Nisha Keller. In 2017, his sons Taylin and Kamiri were born just months apart to former girlfriends Trinia Loveless and Starr Dejanee. Dejanee also had another son, Kamron, whom YoungBoy chose to raise as his own.

In 2019, he and Jania Meshell welcomed their son Kacey. A year later, YoungBoy’s first daughter, Armani, was born, whom he shares with Keller. Just five months after that, he and ex-girlfriend Drea Symone welcomed another daughter, Kodi. Then in 2021, the Baton Rouge rapper and Mayweather welcomed their son, Kentrell.
