Waka Flocka Announces He’s Expecting a Baby Boy

Waka Flocka Flame has revealed that he is expecting his first biological child, a baby boy who will carry on his name.

The rapper, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, shared the exciting news on social media alongside a photo of himself holding a large wooden letter “J” engraved with the name “Juaquin Jr.,” according to TMZ. He also posted a touching image of himself holding and smelling his newborn son.

Expressing his excitement about becoming a father, Waka wrote, “Just waiting for you to come home Jr. Best gift a man could ever ask for.”

The announcement quickly drew congratulations from fans, who celebrated the rapper as he prepares to welcome a new chapter in his life with baby Juaquin Jr.

The announcement was made during Waka Flocka Flame’s 40th birthday celebration, according to The Shade Room, and fans quickly flooded social media with congratulatory messages as the rapper prepares to welcome his baby boy.

The news is especially meaningful given Waka’s long-standing role as a father figure in his personal life. During his marriage to Tammy Rivera, he helped raise her daughter, Charlie Rivera, and built a strong bond with her over the years.

In 2021, Charlie even publicly asked Waka if he would adopt her, a heartfelt moment that resonated with fans who had watched their relationship develop over time.

Speaking on Reality With the King last December, Tammy opened up about the end of her marriage to Waka. While their romantic relationship didn’t last, she explained that they were able to maintain a strong friendship afterward.

Rivera shared that Waka was still discovering himself during much of their time together, and over the years, the pressures on their relationship continued to build. Despite facing challenges, including infidelity, she said they have remained respectful toward one another and continue to have a positive relationship.

“All those years of us going through ups and downs together, once I knew who I was as a woman and he got who he was as a man and where he wanted to be, I think that the strain of a relationship, it was already strained,” Rivera said. “We have a good rapport and it’s so much respect there. And that was that was the whole point of me leaving the relationship sooner. I knew that I was losing respect for him.”

As Waka prepares to welcome his first biological child, many fans see the moment as a new chapter for the rapper, who has already spent years embracing the responsibilities of fatherhood.
