Ice Spice is continuing to battle a lawsuit filed by TheeBellaBrand LLC, which is seeking $400,000 in damages from the rapper. According to TMZ, the company claims Ice Spice failed to pay for approximately $20,000 worth of wigs. The lawsuit also alleges that she made negative comments about the business on social media, causing harm to its reputation and resulting in lost revenue.
Since the case was filed, Ice Spice has pushed to have it dismissed, arguing that the claims are exaggerated and designed to damage her public image. However, those efforts have so far been unsuccessful.
According to Complex, the rapper has now been ordered to appear for a deposition as the legal dispute moves forward. During the proceeding, Ice Spice will be required to answer questions related to the allegations outlined in the lawsuit. The deposition is reportedly scheduled to take place on September 10 in New York.
It’s been a busy stretch for Ice Spice, who has recently been making moves outside of music. One notable venture was her collaboration with Wendy’s for a new advertising campaign, which came shortly after a buzzworthy and somewhat unusual appearance involving McDonald’s.
Meanwhile, fans continue to speculate about when she’ll drop new music. However, with the growing number of brand partnerships and business opportunities coming her way, it’s clear that Ice Spice has plenty happening beyond the recording studio.
As for her legal dispute with TheeBellaBrand, the case is still ongoing and continues to develop. More details are expected to emerge as the lawsuit progresses.
