Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Reportedly End Relationship After Nearly Three Years Together

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have reportedly called it quits after nearly three years together, with sources saying the pair quietly ended their romance several months ago.

According to People, the split was amicable, with a source explaining that both stars took their time before deciding to part ways. Despite ending their relationship, they are said to remain friends and continue to support one another.

Insiders also told TMZ that the breakup did not influence Grande’s upcoming album, and that the project does not center on her relationship with Slater.

The singer, 32, and the actor, 34, were first linked in July 2023 while both were navigating the end of their marriages. Grande finalized her divorce from Dalton Gomez in October 2023, while Slater filed for divorce from Lilly Jay on July 26, 2023. The couple later made their romance Instagram official in November 2024.

Rumors of trouble in the relationship began circulating in October 2025, when reports claimed Slater was finding it difficult to adjust to Grande’s highly public lifestyle. During the Wicked: For Good press tour the following month, the two rarely appeared together in public, and Slater was absent from many of Grande’s red-carpet appearances. However, sources maintained at the time that they were still together.

Grande’s most recent public mention of Slater came on March 22, when she shared an Instagram Story celebrating the closing night of his off-Broadway production, Marcel on the Train. She wrote, “congratulations on a beautiful run of this very beautiful show. so very proud.”

Slater was notably absent from the opening weekend of Grande’s Eternal Sunshine tour, which kicked off on June 6 in Oakland. During the first show, Grande performed her hit song Thank U, Next live for the first time in seven years.

The pop star is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming album, Petal, which is scheduled to arrive on July 31. She previously released the lead single, Hate That I Made You Love Me, on May 29.
