Future Earns Numerous New RIAA Certifications Following Success of “The Real Me”

Future may be receiving plenty of mixed reactions surrounding his latest album The Real Me, but his previous work continues to receive major recognition. The Recording Industry Association of America has awarded him 53 new certifications for his songs, placing him among the artists with the most RIAA-certified tracks and making him one of the highest-certified artists overall.

Many of the new certifications celebrate some of the Atlanta rapper’s biggest hits, several of which had already achieved multiple platinum status. These include “Life Is Good” featuring Drake, “Mask Off,” “Low Life” with The Weeknd, and “WAIT FOR U” featuring Drake and Tems. Each track has reached double-digit platinum status, though none have earned diamond certification yet.

Other songs receiving multi-platinum recognition include “Like That” with Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar, “Stick Talk,” “PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ,” “The Percocet & Stripper Joint,” “Honest,” and “Thought It Was A Drought.”

Meanwhile, several fan-favorite tracks earned platinum status for the first time, including “Codeine Crazy,” “Throw Away,” “News Or Something,” and “Perkys Calling,” songs many fans already consider cultural classics. The new certifications also include several of Future’s newer collaborations with Metro Boomin from their WE DON’T TRUST YOU project.

The latest RIAA recognition gives Future plenty of reasons to celebrate, highlighting the strength of his impressive catalog. However, attention is also turning toward his newest album, The Real Me. If current first-week projections hold, the project is expected to become another major achievement for the rapper.

Earlier reports predicted that the album would debut with 135K units in its first week. A newer estimate shared by Kurrco on Instagram puts the number slightly lower at around 131K units. While that marks a small decrease from previous projections, it would still likely surpass the performance of his last full-length release, MIXTAPE PLUTO.

Regardless of how the numbers compare, the projections show that Future continues to maintain strong fan interest and remains a major force in the music industry.

Future may be involved in some ongoing beefs, but that isn’t stopping him from celebrating his accomplishments. Depending on how The Real Me continues to perform over time, some of its standout tracks could eventually earn a spot on the RIAA-certified list as well.
