Drake Sets Another Apple Music Record With “ICEMAN” and Surpasses His Own Milestone

Drake has remained one of the biggest names in music for more than a decade, but that did not stop some fans from questioning his latest move when he announced ICEMAN. Ultimately, the rapper proved his doubters wrong with a triple-album release packed with major summer hits.

Tracks like “Shabang,” “Janice STFU,” and “Burning Bridges” have become huge successes over the past few months, showing signs of lasting impact and further proving Drake’s ability to dominate the music scene.

With ICEMAN performing so well, its success on streaming platforms comes as no surprise. It seems like a new milestone is being achieved every week, and Drake has now reached another major accomplishment, this time on Apple Music.

According to Kurrco, ICEMAN has spent 46 days at No. 1 on the charts, setting a new record in hip-hop. The previous record was held by Drake himself with Certified Lover Boy and For All The Dogs, which each spent 44 days at the top.

If it wasn’t for Kanye West’s DONDA, Drake likely could have extended his record-setting run with Certified Lover Boy. Meanwhile, For All The Dogs struggled to maintain major momentum outside of its hit single “First Person Shooter.” With that in mind, it appears ICEMAN still has plenty of potential to remain at the top of the charts.

Drake also does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon, with speculation that he could release even more new music before the end of the year. However, fans may need to keep their expectations in check. The rapper has already released more than 40 songs this year, which is more than enough new material to keep listeners satisfied for now.
