Even while behind bars, Sean “Diddy” Combs continues to be one of 50 Cent’s most frequent targets. The rapper once again took a public jab at his longtime rival over the weekend after reports claimed Diddy had been placed in solitary confinement following an alleged altercation at a federal prison. ExtraTV reports that during his performance at LIV Beach in Las Vegas, 50 Cent thanked the crowd before delivering a pointed comment directed at the Bad Boy founder.
“You could’ve been anywhere, you picked being here. Thank you,” Fif told the audience. “You coulda been in Fort Dix with Puffy in the box.” The comment quickly went viral on social media, adding another moment to the decades-long rivalry between the two Hip Hop figures.
The joke came after a TMZ report claimed Diddy was involved in a physical confrontation with another inmate at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. According to the outlet, the incident allegedly started when another prisoner insulted Combs, leading to an exchange that eventually turned physical. Sources also told TMZ that Diddy “held his own” before prison officials stepped in. A spokesperson for the facility declined to address the reported fight or confirm whether Combs had been placed in the Special Housing Unit, pointing to federal rules that prevent officials from discussing individual inmates.
If the alleged altercation leads to disciplinary measures, it could impact Diddy’s time behind bars. The music mogul is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence after being found guilty last year on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act. He was cleared of the more serious charges involving racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His expected release date was recently moved to February 2028, though disciplinary actions in prison can affect an inmate’s privileges and custody conditions.
