Blac Chyna’s ‘Sober Mine’ Memoir Opens Up About the Struggles Behind Her Public Transformation

Blac Chyna is ready to share the story behind one of the most talked-about transformations in entertainment. The entrepreneur, whose real name is Angela R. White, has announced her upcoming memoir, Sober Mine: Letting Go of Blac Chyna and Living My Faith, which will be released Jan. 12, 2027, through HarperCollins’ Amistad imprint. The book promises a raw and honest look at her experiences with addiction, sobriety, faith, and her decision to move beyond the Blac Chyna identity.

The memoir is set to be White’s most personal project yet. According to People, Sober Mine will detail her struggles with alcohol addiction while chronicling her journey of rebuilding her life from within. The book follows a series of significant changes that began in 2022, including her decision to get sober, remove cosmetic enhancements, and get baptized—steps she has publicly shared as part of stepping into a new phase of her life.

“For years, people have known me through headlines, opinions and assumptions, but now they’ll have the chance to hear directly from my heart,” White said in a statement. She described the memoir as “not just a story about where I’ve been, it’s about who God helped me become,” while opening up about a time when she felt “broken, lost, ashamed” and believed she might never get another opportunity.

She added that the book serves as “proof that no matter how far you fall, healing is possible,” expressing hope that readers understand they are “never too far gone.”

The announcement marks another major step in the personal transformation White has openly shared with the public. After first rising to fame as a model, entrepreneur and reality TV personality, she has increasingly shifted her focus toward a life beyond celebrity attention.

After removing her facial fillers, White explained that the choice was simply about wanting “to start fresh, clean,” emphasizing that it was a personal decision and not a judgment toward anyone else.

That transformation has also influenced her approach to motherhood. White, who shares 13-year-old son King Cairo with Tyga and 9-year-old daughter Dream with Rob Kardashian, recently opened up about making sure her children remain grounded.

“King and Dream, they don’t care about Instagram or TikTok or any of these type of things,” she said earlier this year. “They’re just being kids, and I’m letting them be kids.”

She has also credited “communication” and “boundaries” for helping her maintain healthy co-parenting relationships, previously describing her current relationship with Kardashian as “100 percent amazing.”

Now studying toward a degree in divinity training and education, White says Sober Mine is ultimately a message of hope. “I want people to know that freedom is real, sobriety is possible, forgiveness is available, and God can completely transform a person’s life,” she said. “Whether someone is struggling with addiction, shame, depression, fear or simply trying to figure out who they are, I want them to close this book believing there is hope.”
