Drake’s livestream last week celebrating the 9-year anniversary of Stake continues to generate plenty of conversation. Much of the reaction hasn’t exactly painted Drake in the best light, but the women who took part in his 20 v. 1 segment appear to have a different perspective.
Lily Phillips, an OnlyFans creator who participated in the dating show, recently spoke with PerthNow about meeting Drake and had plenty of praise for the rapper. “I’ve never met a nicer celebrity,” she said of their interaction.
According to Phillips, Drake was extremely down-to-earth while also being playful and humorous, even away from the cameras. “He is the same with everyone, whether you’ve got a million followers like me or you’ve got zilch,” she explained.
The Stake livestream included a promised $1 million giveaway, and Drake followed through. Along with prizes for viewers, every woman who participated in the show, regardless of whether she won or lost, received $10,000. He also gifted Birkin bags to some of the women, giving everyone involved a taste of the luxury surrounding the event. “At the afterparty, there were McDonald’s chicken nuggets with caviar on them. It was so much fun; we were up until 5am,” Phillips added.
Phillips believes Drake’s dating show could also play a role in changing the way adult content creators are viewed by the public. “If Drake shows us off, like, we’re not bad people or dirty or anything like that, then I hope that other people follow in society,” she said.
