Drake is once again showing love to Texas.
Featured in the ICEMAN artist’s FOMO short film, which premiered last month, was his rendition of Ella Langley’s record-breaking hit “Choosin’ Texas,” featuring Don Toliver. Following the short film’s premiere, some fans were left wondering whether the track would ever receive an official streaming release. Those concerns have now been put to rest, as the song, retitled “Solar Eclipse,” has officially landed on DSPs as part of an expanded edition of Habibti.
The original Habibti dropped in May alongside two other full-length projects from Drake: ICEMAN and Maid of Honour. Needless to say, Drake fans have had plenty of new music to enjoy this year. Demand has been particularly strong for “Janice STFU,” an ICEMAN standout that currently sits in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 after spending 19 weeks on the chart.
Hours before the FOMO tracks became available on streaming platforms, OVO Sound’s official social media accounts announced the upcoming release of “Solar Eclipse,” “Quebec,” “Cold Shoulder,” and “Classic PT2.”
Drake also offered fans a preview of the rollout during a recent livestream, revealing that “a bunch of songs” would be arriving soon.
“Go watch FOMO,” he said earlier this week. “There’s a bunch of songs coming to streaming on Thursday. So, all the songs that you guys have been asking [for]. Well, not all of ‘em. But enough of them are coming on Thursday.”
The FOMO tracks are now available on your preferred streaming platform. Looking ahead, Drake is also preparing for a new tour in 2027. Although the exact dates have yet to be revealed, the tour has been confirmed to be in the works.
