SZA is giving fans a preview of her latest musical work, sharing a snippet of an unreleased track that features a sample of rising London-based singer Natanya’s song “HUSH.”
On Saturday (Nov. 7), the singer posted a teaser of the track on Instagram, sparking excitement across social media just hours ahead of her 37th birthday.
According to fan accounts sharing the snippet, the Grammy-winning artist has reportedly been spending time in Tahiti, where she recorded the new song. Fans have already begun referring to the unreleased track as “Am I a Bitch?” although SZA and her team have yet to confirm whether that will be its official title.
Fans took to social media to share their reactions to SZA’s unique take on Natanya’s record. The original track, “HUSH,” is featured on Natanya’s 12-song mixtape, ATTITUDE ERA!, which was released Sept. 10 through Human Re Sources.
The 23-year-old British singer, whose full name is Natanya Popoola, teamed up with producer Oscar Scheller on the project, which blends alternative R&B with experimental pop sounds.
Natanya has steadily grown her fan base through releases such as Feline’s Return and Feline’s Return Act II. She has also toured with FLO, PinkPantheress, and Ravyn Lenae while earning recognition and support from established artists, including SZA and Tyler, The Creator, as reported by Clash.
At the moment, SZA has not revealed a release date for the unreleased track or confirmed whether it will feature on any of her upcoming projects.
