The Weeknd and Spotify Drop ‘Billions Club Live’ Concert Special

The Weeknd and Spotify have dropped a special concert film capturing the star’s “Billions Club Live” celebration – an event marking his incredible streaming milestone.

Spotify unveiled the exclusive 45-minute film on Tuesday, showcasing The Weeknd’s one-time LA performance. The special celebrates him hitting over a billion streams on 25 different songs. Along with live performances of his hits and new tracks from his upcoming Hurry Up Tomorrow album, the film features The Weeknd’s personal reflections on his journey and shoutouts to his worldwide fanbase.

Spotify’s giving fans 48 hours to catch the film, made by OBB Pictures (part of OBB Media). Marc Hazan, Spotify’s VP of Partnerships and Marketing, called it a “thank you” to the fans behind those massive streaming numbers and a landmark music moment.

“Spotify excels at connecting artists with fans like no other platform, so we can’t wait to see how people react to our first concert film celebrating The Weeknd hitting a billion streams on 25 tracks,” Hazan shared. “This 45-minute special drops exclusively on Spotify as a gift to the fans who made him a streaming icon. It’s more than just a concert – it’s marking a major milestone in music history.”

The December LA show drew 1,700 of The Weeknd’s biggest Spotify fans, plus celebrity guests like d4vd, Ava Max, Jimmy Tetro, Patrick Ta, Adam Savani, and Teezo Touchdown.
