Karrahbooo says she’s in a tough spot with releasing new music, blaming Lil Yachty’s Concrete Rekordz for holding her back – but wants fans to know she hasn’t been kicked off the label, despite what people are saying.
The rapper just dropped visuals for “Bossy Boo” and used the YouTube description to clear the air about her label situation and explain why her music releases have been slow.
Karrahbooo’s setting the record straight about her label situation. “I didn’t get dropped,” she explained. “I’m still signed, which is exactly why I can’t drop new music.”
She went deeper into why she’s releasing her latest music video independently:
“They told me not to release stuff on my own and go through the ‘label’ instead – funny enough, the same label claiming they dropped me but won’t actually let me go. They’ve been spreading lies about me in the media, blocking my bookings and deals… I could go on. This industry’s wild and confusing, and this whole thing’s a mess that’s dragged on too long. I tried playing by their rules for 6 months, but I’m done waiting – time to do things my way,” she shared.
The drama kicked off last summer when Lil Yachty announced Karrahbooo’s exit from Concrete Boyz. “Let me say this once,” he posted on Instagram. “We’ve parted ways with Karrah regarding Concrete. Got nothing good or bad to say about her. Wishing her the best. That’s it… We just split, you know?”
But things heated up when Yachty went off on Instagram Live, claiming he wrote all her music and accused her of bullying. “We got you a Cartier watch. Gave you that chrome Rolex. You were waiting tables… What are we even talking about? I changed your whole life and here you are lying about being bullied,” he ranted.
He continued: “You’re way out of line. You treat people like dirt. Telling them they’re nothing, threatening to spit on them. Calling them poor and disrespecting my label. Then claiming I’m stealing money…”
Karrahbooo fired back on her Instagram Stories, denying his songwriting claims: “Put it on yo kid I ain’t write these songs miles –_-. Stop lying and keep me out of your internet drama.”
