MrBeast Says America’s Healthcare System Needs a Major Overhaul

YouTuber MrBeast is calling for changes to America’s healthcare system after what he witnessed while creating his latest content.

The internet sensation got real about healthcare problems after filming a video where he helped 2,000 people who lost limbs walk again. He shared his frustrations, saying “I can’t get over how some folks had insurance but got turned down, or had coverage that just wasn’t enough. Something’s not right about that.”

“It’s wild that their only shot at getting a prosthetic leg to walk and find work depends on some YouTuber stepping in to help – that’s just crazy,” he pointed out. “I’m not sure what the solution is, but I made this video hoping it would open the eyes of our 100 million viewers because what I witnessed just isn’t right.”

Taking to X, MrBeast doubled down on his message about the whole thing. “Just dropped a video showing how we helped 2,000 people who lost limbs walk again,” MrBeast posted. “A bunch of them were from America and it’s straight up wrong that in a country this rich, their only hope is getting help from a YouTuber to get a prosthetic leg. We gotta make this right.”

Replying to a news outlet that shared his healthcare system comments on X, MrBeast kept it real about what he saw while making the video. “Most of these folks we helped literally couldn’t get jobs because they couldn’t even walk,” he shared. “Even if you’re just looking at this from a money standpoint and not a human one, getting them help means they can work and pay into the system. So it makes zero sense to me why we’re not doing this.”

MrBeast revealed last year that his collab with TeamSeas managed to pull a whopping 34 million pounds of garbage from our oceans. This win came from a project they kicked off in October 2021. Before that success, they teamed up on another mission to get 20 million trees in the ground by 2020 – and they totally crushed that goal too.
