Feds beef up their case against Sean “Diddy” Combs with new evidence.
Deadline reports Manhattan federal court dropped an updated indictment Thursday, following the hip-hop mogul’s arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges four months ago. While keeping the same charges, prosecutors added two more women to the victim list.
The new filing claims Diddy used force and threats to make three women – dubbed “Victim-1,” “Victim-2,” and “Victim-3” – participate in commercial sex acts. (Victim-1 was earlier revealed as Cassie Ventura, his former girlfriend who settled her abuse lawsuit against him.)
The updated charges now include psilocin and meth among drugs Diddy and others allegedly planned to distribute. It also details more of his alleged violent outbursts, especially against people who challenged his “authority or reputation.”
“On multiple occasions, Combs threw both objects and people, as well as hit, dragged, choked and shoved others,” states the indictment. “On one occasion, Combs dangled a victim over an apartment balcony.”
While prosecutors stretched Diddy’s alleged crimes back to 2004 from 2008, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo tells Complex it’s basically the same case.
“The latest Indictment contains no new offenses,” Agnifilo said. “The prosecution’s theory remains flawed. The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes. Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”
Diddy’s been locked up since September 16, 2024, facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation for prostitution. He’s pleaded not guilty across the board.
Multiple judges have shot down his bail requests, worried he might mess with witnesses or pose a danger. If convicted, he’s looking at 15 years to life. Trial’s set to kick off May 5.
