Ozzy Osbourne’s health keeps taking hits.
The rock legend found out he had Parkinson’s back in 2003, and now it’s making it tough for him to get around. Sharon Osbourne chatted with The Sun about his condition, ahead of his final show – a Black Sabbath reunion gig in July, marking their first time together in 20 years.
“He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this,” she shared. “Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”
People reports that Ozzy recently got real about his battle with the brain disorder on his SiriusXM show. “I have made it to 2025,” he said. “I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive.”
He went on: “I may be moaning that I can’t walk but I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”
While Ozzy learned he had mild Parkinson’s in 2003, he kept it under wraps until January 2020. “I’m no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore ’cause it’s like I’m running out of excuses, you know?” he told Good Morning America back then.
At 76, he’s been through the wringer with surgeries, including four on his spine, the latest happening in September 2023.
