Will Smith’s cooking up some major sequel action.
The Academy Award winner hopped on xQc’s Twitch stream to spill the tea about I Am Legend 2.
“Me and Michael B. Jordan have sat down for about a week, just went through character stuff,” Smith said. “That’s a real thing. I’d love to work with that dude.”
The star dropped some news about Hancock 2 too, calling it “really cool” and revealing that they’re trying to get Zendaya on board for a part in the sequel.
Will’s been dropping hints about another I Am Legend movie for a minute. He mentioned back in December 2023 that he was chatting with Michael B. Jordan and they’d already submitted the script.
The actor brought it up again last year. While sharing an Instagram video with his followers, he talked about getting I Am Legend vibes during his Zürich, Switzerland visit.
“A little walk through the streets of Zürich,” Smith told fans. “I’ve never been to Zürich before. This is the first time. Our plane couldn’t take off so we had to stay the night in Zürich. And it’s all mine. It is so quiet.”
“I’m having I Am Legend flashbacks,” Smith added. “Looking for Fred. What you doing out here, Fred?”
In the 2007 hit movie, Smith played a scientist named Robert Neville who’s trying to use his immune blood to find a cure for a deadly plague. Fun fact: the film actually came with two different endings.
