Drake just matched Taylor Swift and Jay-Z’s record for most No. 1 albums by a solo artist on the Billboard 200.
His new collab with PartyNextDoor, Some Sexy Songs 4 U, landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 246,000 album-equivalent units in week one, including 25,000 pure album sales, according to Billboard. This gives Drake his 14th No. 1 album, putting him even with Swift and Jay for the most chart-toppers in Billboard’s 69-year run.
The Beatles still hold the crown with 19 No. 1 albums, leading Drake, Swift, and Jay-Z. Right behind them with 11 each are Eminem, Future, Bruce Springsteen, Barbara Streisand, and Ye. Drake’s journey to the top started with his first No. 1, Thank Me Later, back in 2010.
Drake’s latest chart-topper before this was For All The Dogs in 2023. His biggest hit, Views, dominated the charts for 13 straight weeks in 2016.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s most recent No. 1 was his thirteenth album 4:44 in 2017, which moved 262,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
