Mase Announces New Album Coming When Diddy’s Trial Begins

Mase Plans Album Drop to Coincide with Start of Diddy’s Trial

Mase clearly knows about the saying, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

The Harlem rapper revealed on It Is What It Is that his first album in over two decades will arrive when Diddy’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial begins.

During the March 7 episode, Mase mentioned Cam’ron helped select the tracks.

“Mo, what’s good? Can y’all hear the music?” Murda asked former football player Maurice Clarett at around the 1:05 minute mark. “I’m listening to the songs that Killa picked out of the stuff I made.”

“These are the songs he picked, so I’m listening to his lineup,” he continued. “It’s gonna be crazy. We had to pick the right records.”

When Clarett asked about the release timing, Mase replied, “May 25. The first day of the Diddy trial. We’re dropping. You like that? You made me put it out there. I wasn’t going to put that out there.”

Murda revealed the project will be a “triple CD,” declaring that he and Diddy are now “even,” referencing his rocky history with his former Bad Boy Records boss.

However, Diddy’s trial is actually set for May 5, so Mase would need to adjust his release date to match. Murda Mase’s last album was 2004’s Welcome Back, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
