Alec and Hilaria Baldwin hosted the opening at 136 W. 42nd St., five years after the previous Planet Hollywood NYC closed in Times Square.
The revamped venue features three floors, multiple bars, DJ booths, 360 screens, and diverse restaurant concepts. 50 sponsored the event through his Branson Cognac brand.
“We’re relaunching Planet Hollywood in Times Square not just as a restaurant but as an all-encompassing sensory experience that magnificently combines innovative technology with the unique flair of Hollywood,” said Robert Earl, Founder and CEO of Planet Hollywood and Earl Enterprises.
50 might have been talking business with Baldwin, as he’s a fan of the actor’s work in the 2004 film Along Came Polly, once sharing a clip on Instagram praising Baldwin’s performance as “fuckin hilarious.”
