6ix9ine’s Florida home was reportedly raided by federal probation officers and local law enforcement on Wednesday, with the rapper claiming he was handcuffed for around six hours during the search.
According to TMZ, 6ix9ine alleges authorities took firearms and unspecified drugs from his property and collected DNA samples from him. However, he wasn’t arrested.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office representative confirmed to Complex that their Narcotics Division “stood by” during the search but provided no further details.
In TMZ’s report, a PBSO spokesperson said federal officers confiscated various items as part of the probation process, though these items haven’t been directly linked to 6ix9ine yet. Additional testing is reportedly underway.
The raid follows news that an IRS auction of 6ix9ine’s possessions, including platinum plaques and luxury accessories, generated hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The rapper’s most recent music release was his Blackballed album in January last year, which featured a controversial collaboration with Kodak Black.
