Kim Kardashian tried to buy her father’s Bible from O.J. Simpson’s estate but was unsuccessful.
According to TMZ, Malcolm LaVergne, Simpson’s estate executor, said Kardashian’s team contacted him in February after hearing Simpson’s personal items would be auctioned.
Kardashian offered $15,000 for the Bible her late father Robert gave to Simpson and asked about other items that belonged to her dad. The estate rejected the offer because the Bible was already under contract to be sold to pay Simpson’s debt from the civil judgment won by the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
LaVergne said Kardashian can still bid on it at the auction running from March 11-20.
The auction includes 103 items like football memorabilia, signed footballs, cards, his 1974 Vince Lombardi Award Trophy, photographs (including one signed with Bill Clinton), and his 1983 California driver’s license. Some items start as low as $50.
