Charleston White is trending again after an old news clip resurfaced showing him testifying against his friend in a murder trial when he was just 16.
The vintage footage circulating on social media this weekend shows White in court describing how his friend, Antoine Dolittle, killed a man who confronted them about stealing clothes from a department store. The incident occurred in 1991 when Michael Levy approached White and Dolittle to recover stolen coats and hats.
According to White’s testimony, they tossed the stolen items out the window, but Dolittle shot Levy as he walked away. In the clip, White explains exactly how Dolittle ended up shooting and killing the man.
People had mixed reactions – some shocked White snitched on his friends, while others pointed out he’s always been open about his informant past. White has even feuded with rappers like Soulja Boy, threatening to have them arrested.
When responding to the viral clip, White was completely unbothered. He basically said people have seen this footage before and it doesn’t affect his wealth or status.
“Just cause you saw it, you still broke. That doesn’t change a thing,” White stated. “Everybody seen it before you seen it. It used to be on the news. I keep telling y’all I made the news before […] So what you seen it. You think they’re going to stop booking me?”
White faced legal trouble last month on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was also arrested in October for animal cruelty and aggravated assault – the same charges he was taken into custody for in 2023.
