The Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak romance rumors are intensifying.
The pair sat together at Monday’s (March 17) iHeartRadio Music Awards, with .Paak escorting the 5-time Grammy winner to accept her Icon Award after performances by Muni Long and Tori Kelly. Carey’s 13-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan Cannon, also joined them.
During the tribute performances of Carey classics like “Always Be My Baby” and “We Belong Together,” the rumored couple smiled and sang along together.
The awards show appearance comes about four months after Carey and .Paak reportedly spent the holidays together in Aspen. Carey divorced Nick Cannon in 2016, while .Paak filed for divorce from Jae Lin Chang last January after 13 years of marriage. They share two sons: Soul Rasheed, 13, and Shine Tariq, 6.
While neither artist has confirmed whether their relationship is romantic or platonic, they initially connected professionally when they recorded music together last summer.
Before Cannon, Carey was married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998. Her most recent relationship was with dancer Bryan Tanaka, whom she dated on and off from 2016 until late 2023.
Last October, Carey told Billboard that she preferred potential partners to get to know her on a “friendly level” first.
