Jermaine Dupri is impressed by Drake’s DJ support network.
In a series of posts on X, the So So Def founder called it “a DJ alliance,” while responding to those who misunderstood his point.
“That boi Drake got a DJ alliance like no other artist I’ve ever seen,” Dupri tweeted Tuesday, immediately receiving numerous responses. “But most of you n***as probably don’t understand what I’m saying cause uon be outside.”

Later, Dupri reinforced his point about Drake’s “DJ alliance” with a personal example involving Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us.”
“I see people saying DJ alliance is crazy, so let me tell y’all what I saw,” he wrote. “I walked in the club and the DJ was shouting out a group of people from the west coast and they must’ve been like ‘play some west coast shit’ and before he dropped ‘Not Like Us,’ he said ‘I might get in trouble for this’ and I was like, whoa!”

Dupri then clarified his comments for those who misunderstood, emphasizing he wasn’t criticizing Drake. He was simply highlighting the strong support Drake receives from DJs who play his music.

Dupri recently made headlines with various comments. He weighed in on En Vogue’s Dawn Robinson claiming she’s living in her car and questioned “the goal of being an independent artist” in today’s industry.
His planned Verzuz battle against Diddy came up during Nelly’s recent Drink Champs appearance.
As for Drake, he dropped a joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR that hit No. 1 in February and has teased a “next chapter” that “may leave you feeling uneasy.”
