Travis Scott spilled the beans that he actually bought the $5 million Bugatti Chiron that shows up in the 2019 “GATTI” video.
In the newest episode of our series On Display, the hip-hop star broke down how he ended up owning the luxury whip for the video he filmed with Pop Smoke.
“I remember when we were working on the song, and Pop goes, ‘You know, we gotta bring Bugattis out (for the video) man,'” Travis recalled. “I forgot who was helping us put the video together. The guy was like, ‘Yeah man, I know somebody that can hook us up with some Bugattis.'”
Scott went on to say that borrowing someone else’s car just for the video felt fake. “So I’m like naw, I’m just gonna go and get this,” Travis explained. “We were at the shoot, me and Pop. He was like, ‘Man, damn bro. This shit smells brand new.’ I was like ‘Yeah bro, I just got it like a week ago.'”
In our latest cover story with him, Scott shared how he was completely floored when he discovered that actor Adrien Brody creates beats.
“I bumped into him at a fashion show not long ago, and I’ve always been a big fan,” said Scott. “He’s been in Wes Anderson films and stuff, and worked with many directors I really respect. I sat next to him thinking, ‘Fuck, I don’t even know if this dude knows who I am.’ And the first thing he says to me is, ‘Yo, bro, I fuck with your shit.’ And I’m like, ‘What the fuck?'”
“He makes music, too. He goes, ‘You know, I make beats and shit,'” Scott remembered. “I’m like, ‘You got to send me some beats!’ So we had a good chat. Man, that blew my mind. That’s wild. I experience random stuff like that all the time.”
