IShowSpeed was left stunned during a recent livestream when an Asian woman dropped the N-word while performing rap lyrics.
The famous streamer was hosting a talent competition and listening to an Asian woman wearing glasses perform songs by Ye and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. At first, Speed seemed to enjoy her relaxed delivery and melodic style — but everything changed when she began repeating lyrics with the N-word that the original artists had used.
In footage from the livestream, Speed’s expression visibly transforms from a smile to a look combining shock and horror. He repeatedly says “what” in disbelief that she would not only use that word, but do so directly in front of him without any hesitation or concern.
Earlier this month, a Chinese woman boldly announced she was racist during Speed’s traveling stream across the country. After he asked her to clarify her statement, she confirmed her racism but added that she loves his “girlfriend because she’s white people.”
In another recent racist encounter, Speed was called the N-word during a freestyle battle in China. His opponent rapped, “You know I’m Chinese, you Black/But I can speak Chinese, you a ni**er.”
Last year, Speed faced a similar issue in Bulgaria, where people apparently thought it was acceptable to use the N-word in his presence.
