Tina Knowles has shared that she’s dating a new guy two years following her split from Richard Lawson.
In a fresh chat with People, Knowles opened up about diving back into dating while sharing she’s seeing someone who’s been a total “gentleman” with her.
“I am spending time with a friend,” Knowles confirmed, adding that the person is a “very nice gentleman” and she’s waiting to “see what happens” with them. Knowles also pointed out how she’s stepping out feeling fabulous again.
“Just getting all dressed up and done up, makeup, hair. You know, putting on something that fits well,” she said. “It’s fun looking sexy. It makes me feel sexy.”
In her upcoming book Matriarch, Knowles talks about her breakup with Lawson, detailing how tough it was to leave him while noting she did so without any bitterness.
“Love is patient, love is kind. Love is also not a competition or mired in jealousy. I made the decision to divorce with a heavy heart but totally without malice, and I have not lost a night of sleep over it,” she writes in the memoir.
She also discussed her marriage to Beyoncé and Solange Knowles’s father, Mathew Knowles, and his cheating throughout their relationship. Tina and Mathew were together for 31 years before parting ways in 2011.
“I was caught in this dance with him, each doing the same steps over and over: He would cheat or act up, and I would say I’d had enough,” she explains “He would beg for forgiveness, crying and promising to get better… But this is what married people did, I told myself.”
Knowles was married to Lawson, but their relationship ended in divorce in 2023 due to irreconcilable differences.
