Lil Durk Slapped With Stalking Charge in Ongoing Murder Plot Case

Grammy-Winner Lil Durk Hit With Fresh “Stalking” Charge in Murder Case

Chicago rapper Lil Durk now faces a new “stalking resulting in death” charge in his ongoing murder-for-hire case. Prosecutors filed this latest accusation on May 1 through a superseding indictment, while also fighting against reconsidering his jail status before trial.

The updated charges claim Durk orchestrated the August 2022 killing of Saviay’a ‘Lul Pab’ Robinson, who was related to rival rapper Quando Rondo. In a major twist, prosecutors have now dropped all references to Durk’s song lyrics after heavy criticism from his defense team.

Durk’s family recently blasted authorities, stating: “The government presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict him. This isn’t justice. That’s a violation of the very system that’s supposed to protect all of us.” They argue his artistic expression is being criminalized, firmly stating: “Rap is art.”

His high-profile attorney Drew Findling recently compared RICO cases to baseball players using steroids – making prosecutors’ jobs too easy. While Durk isn’t facing RICO charges specifically, Findling criticized how social media posts and neighborhood visits get twisted into evidence.

A crucial May 8 hearing will determine if Durk can post bail and leave jail while awaiting his day in court.
