ASAP Rocky Shows Off Court Skills With Fans After Knicks Triumph

ASAP Rocky Hit the Streets to Ball With Fans After Knicks’ Playoff Victory

ASAP Rocky took his Knicks fandom to the next level by jumping into an impromptu basketball session with fans in Harlem following the team’s playoff series win against Detroit.

TMZ spotted the rapper at Melba’s restaurant celebrating after the Knicks’ thrilling 116-113 Game 6 victory over the Pistons on Thursday night. When the “Crosstown Express” Knicks bus rolled up to the spot, Rocky seized the moment, grabbing a basketball and showing off his playmaking skills with the bus’s attached hoop.

The hip-hop star channeled his inner point guard, tossing perfect alley-oop passes that had fans throwing down dunks after a few practice attempts. His excitement was well-earned after Jalen Brunson delivered a spectacular last-second game-winner to clinch the series 4-2.

Now the Knicks advance to face the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals, with Game 1 scheduled for May 5.

Besides his basketball celebrations, Rocky recently opened up about fatherhood becoming central to his “creative process.” In a conversation on The Run-Through With Vogue, he explained how his sons RZA and Riot Rose have transformed his perspective, saying he’s “flattered” that his approach to being a “present, active father” might inspire others.

The 36-year-old rapper also reflected on his own father’s influence, noting, “My dad was a proud dad. He taught me everything I know, especially how to be a gentleman,” adding that he’s been “prepared to be a dad my whole life.”
