Madonna calls her boyfriend Akeem Morris’ 28th birthday celebration “a night to remember.”
The 66-year-old Queen of Pop posted pics from the birthday bash to her Instagram on Sunday, which was attended by her three youngest daughters (19-year-old Mercy, and 12-year-old twins Stella and Estere) and featured YG Marley performing.
“Happy Birthday to my favorite Taurus @akkmorris,” the “Material Girl” hitmaker posted on IG. “Thank you @ygmarley for joining us. Its was a night to remember. One Love……..”
The photo collection included images of Madonna perched on Morris’ lap and, in another shot, leading everyone in a birthday song.
In his own Instagram post, Morris wrote, “All I can say is thank you. Thank you wifey Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with me last night. Thank you to those who worked behind the scenes to create such an unforgettable vibe. It meant so much to have the people I love and respect all in one room. It was a special night, and the energy in the room was nothing but love Blessings to @ygmarley for the performance.”
According to Elle, the pair went public around summer 2024, a year after the superstar bounced back from a life-threatening bacterial infection.
Since then, she and Morris, a Jamaican-born soccer player based in New York, have jetted around together, spent holidays as a couple, and shown up at various events including her birthday bash in Italy and Billie Eilish’s New York City show last October.
