Drake Achieves 10th Diamond Certification, Setting New Record for Any Artist

Drake now holds 10 Diamond certifications from the Recording Institute Association of America, breaking the record for any artist in music history.

The RIAA revealed that “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” and “Best I Ever Had,” have officially earned Diamond status, granting Drake this exceptional achievement.

Drake’s additional Diamond awards include “One Dance,” “God’s Plan,” “Hotline Bling,” Life Is Good” with Future, “Love Me” with Lil Wayne, “Sicko Mode” with Travis Scott, and “No Guidance” with Chris Brown.

Looking ahead, Drake might secure an 11th certification with “Nice For What” — which currently sits at 9 times platinum.

These latest honors place Drake beyond Garth Brooks and Post Malone, who each possess nine Diamond certifications.

Drake’s experiencing an exceptional year. Chart Data reports that Drake ranks as the top-selling artist in the United States by total album units. This success stems largely from his collaborative project with PartyNextDoor, Some Sexy Songs 4 U, released in February and selling 246,000 units during its debut week.

Thanks to Some Sexy Songs 4 U, Drake now boasts 14 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, matching Taylor Swift and Jay-Z for the most chart-topping records ever.

Drake’s remarkable year continues with news that OVO Fest will return.

The Toronto artist announced his legendary event’s comeback during a surprise appearance at Central Cee’s Toronto concert, telling fans, “I’ll see you this summer, by the way. OVO Fest will be back this year.”

Drake even invited Central Cee to participate right on the spot. “We’ll need you there for that,” he said.
