Taylor Swift has reportedly filed legal action against a Colorado man, requesting a temporary restraining order on Friday, June 6. The man allegedly made disturbing claims about the pop star and showed up at her Los Angeles home on multiple occasions. Based on legal documents obtained by Page Six, the 35-year-old pop star says Brian Jason Wagner, 38, claimed that he was in a relationship with her and even thought she was the mother of his child. In the restraining order, Swift noted Wager believed he was “in a relationship with me … believing I am the mother of his son … [and] needing to see me in person,” among other things. In the request, the songstress outlined how Wagner made several strange statements, all false, including that he lived at her property and needed to see her in person. The situation got worse when Wagner showed up at Swift’s home in 2024, and on one visit, he was reportedly carrying a glass bottle that could have been used as a weapon, as Swift described in the documents. Wagner allegedly came back in May 2025, claiming he was there to check on a friend, which Swift stated was completely untrue. Swift’s security team later found out that Wagner had a criminal history, including being behind bars. While in prison, he allegedly sent letters to Swift declaring his obsession with her and making up stories about their supposed romantic relationship. Wagner is also accused of getting the “Fortnight” singer’s address and trying to have her mail sent to his own home.
Swift stressed in the filing that she has never communicated with Wagner and that she also fears for her safety. According to the outlet, the court granted order is set to expire on June 30. Unfortunately, this isn’t the 14-time Grammy winner’s only encounter with law enforcement in the past month. On May 14, human remains were discovered near Swift’s Rhode Island property, according to TMZ. The findings were thought to be connected to a reported serial killer in the New England area.
