Love Island has YesJulz rethinking her entire dating mindset.
The influencer and socialite took to X on Monday, admitting, “Love Island has really altered my perspective on dating and how I approach getting to know people I’m romantically interested in.” Although the tweet was later deleted, she continued sharing her thoughts in follow-up posts.
“As a woman I have always only talked to one guy at a time,” she wrote. “I closed myself off from getting to know other people wayyyy too early in situations where I should’ve stayed open to getting to know others. Given loyalty to people who haven’t quite earned it.”
She added, “So yeah the lesson here for me has been to explore until we have both decided we are closed off.”

In a follow-up tweet, YesJulz seemed frustrated with the reactions to her original post.
“Don’t yall ever get tired of acting so dense? I can’t say shit on this app without it getting blown out of proportion my gawd,” she wrote.
Despite the pushback, she made it clear that her mindset around dating has evolved—and she’s embracing the idea of keeping her options open.
“I don’t care what yall say I know my ladies feel me,” she added. “Men be exploring like conquistadors while we close off after a first kiss. That’s what I meant when I said my perspective has shifted. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.”

Peacock’s Love Island has officially taken over the internet. Now in its seventh season, the hit reality series follows a group of singles living together in a luxury villa on a tropical island. The twist? In order to stay in the game, they must couple up—or risk being dumped from the island. The last duo standing takes home a grand prize of $100,000.
