Megan Thee Stallion says love showed up when she least expected it — and she’s perfectly okay with that.

While discussing her new partnership with Dunkin’, the Houston rapper got real about her relationship with Klay Thompson, admitting this phase of her life feels unlike anything she’s experienced before.

“I didn’t even expect to be in a relationship,” Megan shared, emphasizing that finding love wasn’t on her agenda. Instead, she had been pouring her energy into getting mentally and emotionally in sync.

After focusing on therapy, staying consistent in the gym, and taking time for self-reflection, Megan believes the relationship came exactly when it was meant to. She described it as something that blossomed from personal growth, not something she was actively chasing.

These days, she says she’s moving with a sense of calm.

“This is one of the first times I’ve ever felt overly comfortable,” she revealed. “I’m comfy.”

The pair made their relationship public in mid-2025 and have since been seen cheering each other on at high-profile events, including Megan’s Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York. During that time, she spoke highly of Thompson’s character, noting how humble and genuine he is behind closed doors.

For Thompson’s 36th birthday, Megan pulled out all the stops, surprising him with a special performance by iconic rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony — one of the NBA star’s longtime favorites. Clips from the celebration captured Thompson rapping along to “Crossroads” while dancing beside Megan.

Outside of her love life, Megan remains locked in on discipline and structure. She’s been open about committing to therapy and tightening up her nutrition and workout routine, saying that understanding how to properly fuel her body — especially with protein — has made a major difference.

“I think that because finally I started being in a better mind space about myself and my life, and I had already been doing a lot of work to heal me,” Megan said. “I had been going to therapy, I had a bunch of activities that I started doing for myself; maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right.”
