A clip from one of Snoop Dogg’s recent performances is making the rounds online, with social media users calling out what they believe went wrong.
The hip-hop legend is no stranger to controversy, and this latest moment is adding to the conversation. During a recent show, Snoop invited a young girl onstage—something that may have seemed harmless at first. But once footage from the night surfaced, reactions quickly followed.
In a video shared by Watch Live Bitez, the child is seen dancing beside a scantily dressed woman performing pole tricks, which many viewers found inappropriate. While some are criticizing Snoop for allowing it, others are pointing fingers at the child’s parents.
“No y’all can’t blame Snoop y’all got to blame the parents,” one Instagram user wrote. “The parents shouldn’t have never allowed the child to come or be on that stage first, secondly he should have had the child escorted off the stage immediately,” another added. Someone else chimed in, “Nobody has good sense anymore.”
This isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg has landed in controversy in recent years. Back in September, he faced heavy criticism over comments he made on the It’s Giving podcast after watching the Pixar film Lightyear. The movie includes a lesbian couple, something Snoop made clear he wasn’t comfortable with.
“What you see is what you see, they’re putting it everywhere,” he said at the time. “My grandson in the middle of the movie, like, ‘Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman? She a woman.’ Aw, s**t. I didn’t come here for this s**t, I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”
Before that, the rapper also drew backlash for performing at the first-ever Crypto Ball, an event celebrating Donald Trump’s return to the White House. He later addressed the criticism during an appearance on The Breakfast Club, standing firm on his decision.
“I’m not a politician,” he said. “I don’t represent the Republican Party. I don’t represent the Democratic Party. I represent the motherf***ing Gangster Party period point blank.”
