d4vd’s brother, Caleb Burke, along with their parents, was reportedly served subpoenas earlier this year to testify in the murder case of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Following d4vd’s recent arrest, several former collaborators have begun speaking out and creating distance from the singer, who is accused of killing the teenage girl whose body was allegedly discovered in the trunk of a Tesla linked to him last year.
Now, some believe Caleb may have subtly reacted to the situation. As reported by The Shade Room, he took to his Instagram Story on Thursday (April 23) to post a strong message about sexual predators, writing, “All [pedophiles] and rapists should die. Period.”
Prosecutors have accused d4vd of possessing child pornography and being involved in a sexual relationship with Rivas. While he still reportedly follows Caleb on Instagram, Caleb is said not to follow him back. As of now, he hasn’t made any further statements or confirmed whether his post was directed at his brother.
Although this interpretation remains speculative, the timing and circumstances have led many fans to draw their own conclusions. It also comes amid earlier reports surrounding the Burke family’s alleged connection to the case.
According to reports, Caleb, along with his mother and father, received grand jury subpoenas in Texas earlier this year. They allegedly attempted to challenge them, but were unsuccessful. It remains unclear whether they ultimately testified.
Others linked to d4vd are now speaking out more openly about the murder allegations and related claims. Among them is Cassidy Clarke, who previously appeared as his girlfriend in the “Here With Me” music video.
In a recent TikTok clip, she made her stance clear: “I do not associate with D4vd by any means,” she said. “I did it for a job, I did it for a check, I didn’t know who D4vd was, I don’t follow him on Instagram anymore. I’m going to remove him as a follower, and I think that he deserves even more than what’s happening to him right now. He’s a monster. And I do not associate with him by any means. I’m not making this video to make this about me. I’m making this video to put an end to my association with D4vd.”
Meanwhile, previously unseen footage has resurfaced online, allegedly showing d4vd performing just days after the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. In the clip, he appears emotional while performing “Afterlife” during his album release event.
