Madonna is linking up with Grindr for a special vinyl rollout tied to her upcoming 15th studio album, Confessions II.
As the July 3 drop approaches—serving as the follow-up to her 2005 project Confessions on a Dance Floor—the pop legend, often hailed as a “motha” within the LGBTQIA+ community, is stepping into a unique digital space built around the new LP.
Grindr, known as a social hub for LGBTQIA+ users, is giving Madonna the spotlight to “take over” the platform, inviting fans into her world just in time for Pride season.
On the user grid, one slot will spotlight the seven-time Grammy winner Madonna, and tapping it reveals a personal message from her.
“Hi Grindr. It’s Motha. I made an exclusive vinyl of my new album just for you,” she says. “I could have dropped it anywhere but I wanted to go where the hottest action was, so I got on the grid. Are you ready for Confessions II?”
Beyond the Grindr-exclusive picture disc of Confessions II, fans can also access special content and a range of limited-edition drops.
Earlier this month, Madonna dropped the lead single “I Feel So Free” and even popped out as a surprise guest alongside Sabrina Carpenter during the second weekend of Coachella. After the performance, Madonna took to Instagram Stories claiming that both her and Carpenter’s stage outfits had mysteriously “gone missing.”
Confessions II arrives as the follow-up to her 2019 album Madame X, with Stuart Price fully handling production—just like he did on the original Confessions.
In a more playful, unofficial move, Lil Nas X previously tapped into Grindr (in his own way) back in 2022 to hype up his “Late to da Party” single with NBA YoungBoy.
He shared a pre-save link for the track paired with some intentionally goofy cover art—complete with a visible Shutterstock watermark—before jokingly announcing a fake partnership with Grindr offering “free cock” to anyone who pre-saved the collab.
