Reginae Carter is opening up about the one time her dad, Lil Wayne, actually told her no.
While appearing on a fresh episode of Me & Halo with her mom, Toya Johnson, Reginae got candid about how differently her parents approach things. Around the 23-minute mark, she shared that despite Lil Wayne’s laid-back nature, he’s only ever denied her once.
“The only thing that he’s ever said no to is when I was 16 and was like, ‘Daddy, can you get me a Bentley?’” she recalled. “He said, ‘Baby, I’ll give you the world, but not a Bentley.’”
Even with that one refusal, she made it clear her dad is still incredibly giving.
“My dad is really like, ‘Whatever you need, baby,’” she added.
As for her mom, Reginae said she doesn’t exactly play the strict or soft role.
“She’s my favorite cop, I’ll say that,” she shared.

Earlier this month, Reginae Carter opened up on her own podcast about another side of her dad, Lil Wayne — his lyrics — and how they ended up affecting her school experience.
On an episode of Heir Time featuring Destiny Jones, Carter shared that her father’s music played a role in her being turned down by several private schools in Atlanta.
“I went to Christian school almost my whole life,” Carter said. “A lot of the private schools I wanted to go to — I’m not going to say the names — were blocking me because of what my dad was doing a lot of the time, because of the music he was making.”
“It was a lot of big schools in Atlanta, the biggest that rejected me,” she added. “They rejected a lot of celebrity kids.”
Still, Carter admitted she can understand their perspective to a degree. “I get it, to a certain extent,” she said. “But it’s like, I’m a kid and that don’t got nothing to do with me. You shouldn’t judge me off of what my dad’s got going on.”
