Vivica A. Fox Names Morris Chestnut Her Best On-Screen Kiss While Larenz Tate Lands Close Behind

Vivica A. Fox has shared plenty of on-screen kisses throughout her acting career.

While chatting with Bevy Smith on Radio Andy, the actress reflected on some of her most memorable first kisses while filming.

“Morris Chestnut. Chocolate himself,” Fox said, revealing that Morris Chestnut holds the top spot for her best on-screen kiss.

When asked who came in second, Fox quickly named Larenz Tate.

“Oh my gosh. Larenz was another one I had to forget we was rolling. You know, I was like, ‘Cut. Cut, Vivica.’”

Bevy Smith then asked Vivica A. Fox whether she had ever worked on a film with a single leading man and ended up having a “little dalliance,” noting that both Morris Chestnut and Larenz Tate were married while filming with her.

“You know what’s that old saying?” Fox responded, before Smith jumped in with, “You don’t shit where you eat.”

Fox laughed and replied, “I’m so glad she said it for me. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, but it’s a rule of mine.”

She went on to explain why she avoids mixing romance with work relationships. “Because it is lust. You haven’t taken the time to get to know a person, and so when you know the honeymoon phase wears off, and then all of a sudden they’re over there glaring at each other and shit, and you’re like, ‘Oh, see I knew it was going to happen.’ You know, then it creates tension on the set, which is unfair to the rest of the production, in my opinion.”

Fox starred alongside Chestnut in the 2001 romantic comedy Two Can Play That Game. Before that, she also appeared with Tate in the 1998 film Why Do Fools Fall in Love.
