Sheree Zampino, the former wife of Will Smith, has filed a lawsuit against Bilaal Salaam, the actor’s former friend who recently lost a legal battle against Jada Pinkett Smith, over comments he made during an interview with gossip blogger Tasha K.
According to TMZ, Zampino, who was married to Smith from 1992 to 1995, alleges in the lawsuit that Salaam has “turned his attention” toward her by making what she described as “outrageously offensive, shocking, and hurtful statements” during the interview. The lawsuit points to a promotional clip that was captioned, “Exclusive: Bilaal claims Will Smith’s ex-wife Sheree Zampino was sleeping with everyone in [Hollywood]!!!”
Although the clip has since been taken down, Zampino claims Salaam made additional disparaging remarks during the full episode of Unwine with Tasha K. Throughout the interview, he allegedly referred to her as a “whore” multiple times and claimed she was once “sleeping with everybody in Hollywood.” Zampino strongly denies the allegations and argues that the statements amount to slander under California law.
She is suing for slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress, seeking more than $1 million in compensatory damages, legal fees, and punitive damages.
Salaam was once close friends with Will Smith, but their relationship reportedly deteriorated after he made a series of public allegations involving the actor, his family, and those in his circle. Earlier this month, a Los Angeles judge ordered Salaam to pay more than $32,000 in legal fees to Jada Pinkett Smith after he lost a $3 million lawsuit accusing her of making threats against him. The lawsuit, filed in December 2025, stemmed from an alleged encounter between the two at the Regency Calabasas Commons hotel in California in 2021.
