Rick Ross is embracing a new nickname, recently telling fans that he considers himself the “BOAT.”
In a video shared to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (June 2), the rapper was seen relaxing in a swimming pool while continuing to promote the fifth annual edition of his car and bike show in Georgia.
While taking a break in the water, Rozay confidently declared his new title.
“I’m the BOAT,” he said. “Biggest of all time, baby. The BOAT.”
The statement quickly caught fans’ attention, with Ross putting his own spin on the familiar “GOAT” label by replacing it with “BOAT” — short for “Biggest of All Time.” The bold claim comes as the rapper continues to expand his brand beyond music, with business ventures, live events, and his growing annual car and bike showcase remaining major parts of his empire.
Whether the GOAT-inspired nickname catches on remains to be seen, but Rick Ross appears determined to make it happen. Later, the rapper doubled down on the title by reposting the same video to his Instagram Stories, once again referring to himself as the “BOAT.”
The self-proclaimed title arrives shortly after Ross appeared alongside French Montana for the latest edition of VERZUZ in May. The event streamed live on Complex’s YouTube channel and in HD through Apple Music.
During his performance, Ross treated fans to several of his biggest records, including “Hustlin,’” Kanye West’s “Devil in a New Dress,” and Jay-Z’s “FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt.” The appearance also followed his recent collaboration with French Montana and Max B on the track “Minks in Miami,” which was released earlier this year.
