MoneyBagg Yo and Roc Nation Hit With $100 Million Lawsuit From Former Manager

Sherry Jackson-Floyd, the former manager of MoneyBagg Yo, has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the rapper, Roc Nation, and Bread Gang Entertainment.

According to the lawsuit, Jackson-Floyd believes she played a major role in launching MoneyBagg Yo’s career. Per Hot97, she began working with the Memphis rapper in 2015, when he was reportedly earning around $2,500 per performance. Jackson-Floyd claims she invested millions of dollars into helping build his career and transform him into a successful artist.

In the legal filing, Jackson-Floyd alleges that after MoneyBagg Yo signed with Roc Nation, she was pushed out of the business arrangement. She maintains that she had valid contracts with the rapper and argues that those agreements were violated due to what she describes as Roc Nation’s interference.

“It’s intentional interference with contract on the part of Roc Nation because they knew this contract existed,” attorney Ralph Gibson said. “It’s a commercial contract case.”

Jackson-Floyd alleges that MoneyBagg Yo agreed to pay her $5,000 per week, provide her with a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, and grant her one-third of all brand-related revenue. According to the lawsuit, those promises were never fulfilled, and she claims she has yet to receive the compensation she was allegedly owed.

The former manager argues that her contributions were instrumental to MoneyBagg Yo’s rise in the music industry. She maintains that her efforts helped the rapper generate more than $3 million in earnings during the early stages of his career.

“Without her, he could not have gotten as big as he got,” attorney Ralph Gibson stated.

The lawsuit remains ongoing, and further developments are expected as the case moves forward.
