Eminem’s Ex-Wife Kim Scott Faces Bench Warrant After Missing DUI Sentencing Hearing

Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Scott, is now facing a bench warrant after failing to appear for a scheduled court hearing in Michigan this week.

According to Page Six, the warrant was issued after Scott missed a sentencing hearing on Wednesday (June 24) related to a February hit-and-run case. Prosecutors also requested that her $10,000 pre-trial release bond be forfeited.

The case follows a May 13 incident near Detroit, where Scott allegedly crashed into another vehicle before being stopped by police. Detective Sgt. Joseph Feld of the Chesterfield Township Police Department confirmed the accident, noting that no one was injured, according to Click On Detroit.

Officers at the scene reportedly observed that Scott was unsteady, slurring her words, and smelled strongly of alcohol. A roadside breathalyzer recorded a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .204, while additional tests at the police station registered .176 and .181—well above Michigan’s legal limit of .08.

Bodycam footage reportedly shows Scott explaining, “When I came around the corner, there was a truck coming high beam at me… I swerved out of the way and I clipped a parked car.” An officer replied, “You’re slurring really bad,” while another informed her, “You’re .20. You’re almost three times the legal limit.”

Scott admitted she had consumed alcohol earlier in the day but insisted she hadn’t been drinking recently. After completing a series of field sobriety tests, she was taken into custody.

Since it marked her third DUI-related offense, the charge was upgraded to a felony under Michigan law.

The latest legal trouble follows a February incident in which Scott allegedly crashed a white Range Rover into a parked Dodge Ram pickup, pushing it approximately 50 feet before driving away and later crashing into her own garage door. Her son, Parker, and three of his friends were reportedly inside the vehicle during the incident. Police reports state that Scott told officers she had consumed two margaritas at Chili’s before getting behind the wheel.

On May 11, Scott pleaded no contest to charges of operating while impaired and failing to stop after a collision in connection with that case. At the time, Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said, “Driving under the influence is not a lapse in judgment; it is a deliberate decision that puts every person on the road at risk.”
