50 Cent Mocks Floyd Mayweather After His Comeback Fight Gets Canceled

The long-running feud between 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather continues to show no signs of slowing down. As has often been the case over the years, any major development involving the boxing legend is almost guaranteed to draw a reaction from the G-Unit boss. This time, 50 Cent weighed in after Mayweather’s comeback fight was canceled amid a $4.65 million lawsuit.

Taking to Instagram, 50 shared a headline announcing the cancellation of Mayweather’s bout in Athens, which was called off just hours before the former champion was scheduled to face Mike Zambidis.

“Champ I saw I keep missing your call, the time is different I’m in Ibiza,” 50 joked in the caption.

The canceled event stems from a lawsuit filed by CSI Entertainment, the company that organized the fight. The promoter alleges Mayweather backed out of agreements for exhibition bouts against Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson before pursuing other opportunities, prompting the company to file a federal lawsuit in New York.

As of now, no new date has been announced for the Athens event, and it remains to be seen how the legal dispute will unfold. The latest exchange also marks just one of several developments involving 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather this week.

The latest chapter in the feud also comes after 50 Cent shared an audio clip that he claims features boxing figures Al Haymon and Leonard Ellerbe discussing Floyd Mayweather.

“AL haymen & Lenord Ellerbe saying they will bury Floyd’s little a** for saying he owns PBC [Premier Boxing Champions]. EVERYBODY FLIP ON YOU WHEN YOU POPPED!” 50 wrote alongside the post.

Since the audio surfaced, fans have been divided over its authenticity. Some believe it’s a recent recording, others think it could be an old clip, while many have questioned whether it may have been generated using artificial intelligence. As of the time of writing, neither Mayweather, Haymon, Ellerbe, nor 50 Cent has publicly addressed the speculation surrounding the recording.

For those unfamiliar with their history, 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather have been feuding for more than a decade. The two were once close friends and business partners before their relationship fell apart. Feeling betrayed, 50 publicly aired his frustrations, often mocking the boxing icon with his signature brand of humor on social media.

With Mayweather continuing to face legal and financial challenges, it remains to be seen how these latest issues will unfold. One thing seems certain, however—Curtis Jackson is unlikely to pass up another opportunity to troll his longtime rival.
