Justin Bieber’s SWAG Goes Platinum With RIAA Certification

Justin Bieber has added another Platinum plaque to his impressive career.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) officially certified Bieber’s seventh studio album, SWAG, Platinum on June 26 after it surpassed 1 million equivalent units sold across the United States.

The achievement marks another major commercial success for Bieber, whose surprise comeback album—released after a four-year break—quickly became one of the year’s standout projects.

Serving as his first full-length release since 2021’s Justice, SWAG debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 before climbing to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Streaming Albums and Top R&B Albums charts.

The project also set a new personal streaming record for the pop star, racking up 74.3 million Spotify streams globally within its first 24 hours, making it the biggest debut of his career on the platform.

The album’s lead standout, “Daisies,” quickly became its breakout hit, helping drive its early chart performance.

In addition to its commercial success, SWAG marked Bieber’s first release after gaining full ownership of his master recordings and moving forward independently following the end of his longtime management partnership with Scooter Braun.

He later built on the album’s momentum with Swag Live From Coachella (Weekend I), a live performance project that celebrated his long-awaited return to the stage after an extended touring hiatus.

The Platinum certification comes as Bieber continues to expand the SWAG era. Following the album’s strong reception, he released Swag II, a deluxe edition featuring new tracks and fresh collaborations, giving the project new life and keeping fans engaged months after its surprise debut.
