Desiigner is once again facing legal issues after being arrested on a domestic violence allegation, marking his second such arrest this year.
The 29-year-old “Panda” rapper was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon (July 15), according to online records from the Horry County (SC) Sheriff’s Office. As of publication, he remains behind bars.
According to WBTW, the rapper allegedly chased a woman while carrying a hammer. Investigators say the woman told them the pair had been arguing over removing TVs from a wall when Desiigner allegedly grabbed her phone and smashed it with the hammer. She reportedly escaped to a neighbor’s home with her child, but claimed not before the rapper threw her to the ground and tossed her purse over a fence.
Authorities also allege that the rapper later damaged the neighbor’s vehicles using both a screwdriver and a hammer.
Desiigner has been charged with second-degree domestic violence, along with three felony counts of malicious injury to animals and other personal property involving damages valued between $2,000 and $10,000. Each of those felony charges carries a maximum prison sentence of five years.
Court records show that the domestic violence charge and two of the malicious injury charges have no bond set, while the remaining malicious injury charge carries a $1,500 bond.

As previously reported, Desiigner was also arrested on a domestic violence charge in March, with that incident likewise taking place in Horry County. The current status of that case was not immediately known.
