Kayla Nicole Opens Up About Her More ‘Grown’ Perspective on Love Following Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Wedding Buzz

Kayla Nicole isn’t commenting on Travis Kelce’s wedding, but her latest remarks may have spoken volumes.

Just weeks after her former boyfriend tied the knot with Taylor Swift in an extravagant ceremony at Madison Square Garden, Nicole offered a more mature take on love during an interview with Spiritual World. Without referencing Kelce or Swift by name, the sports broadcaster opened up about how growing older and gaining life experience have transformed the way she now views relationships.

“I don’t know if I believe in a perfect love story,” Nicole said. “I’m grown now, you know what I mean?”

Rather than holding onto a fairy-tale idea of romance, Nicole shared a more realistic perspective. “Love is hard,” she said. “Love is a choice; every day, choosing the same person.”

Her comments come after Nicole once again found herself connected to headlines she never directly addressed. Kelce and Swift’s July 3 wedding became one of the summer’s biggest celebrity events, drawing nearly 1,000 guests to Madison Square Garden following months of speculation about where the couple would exchange vows.

The star-studded celebration brought together NFL standouts and some of Hollywood’s biggest names, but one familiar person was noticeably absent: Kelce’s ex-girlfriend.

Nicole never publicly commented on the wedding. Instead, she was seen in Los Angeles days after the ceremony, smiling while running errands and spending time with friends during her first public appearance since the event.

Her outing reflected the same approach she’s maintained since her relationship with Kelce ended in 2022—staying mostly quiet while speculation continues around her.

Nicole and Kelce had an on-and-off relationship for about five years before eventually going their separate ways. As Kelce’s romance with Swift quickly became one of the most closely followed relationships in sports and entertainment, Nicole repeatedly found herself caught up in the attention. She faced everything from criticism over her dance to Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough” to eventually deleting her social media accounts following backlash over previous comments.
