OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, 29, also known online as Courtney Tailor, has reached a plea agreement in connection with the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Christian Toby Obumseli.
According to TMZ, Clenney’s attorney, Frank Prieto, confirmed that she struck a plea deal with prosecutors in the case involving Obumseli, with whom she shared a luxury apartment in Miami. While the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed publicly, Clenney had been facing a potential life sentence if convicted of murder. She is expected to appear in court on August 10 to formally change her plea.
Prosecutors said that 27-year-old Christian Toby Obumseli died in April 2022 after suffering a stab wound to the chest that severed a major artery. Following a four-month investigation, Clenney was arrested in Hawaii and extradited to Florida. She pleaded not guilty, maintaining that she threw the knife in self-defense. However, the Miami-Dade medical examiner concluded that her account did not match the nature of Obumseli’s fatal injuries.
Before the plea agreement was finalized on Friday (July 31), Clenney’s legal team argued they had text messages they believed showed the relationship was toxic and that Obumseli had been physically abusive during their time together. Her attorneys also sought to introduce an arrest warrant related to alleged animal cruelty as part of their defense.
Clenney’s father, Kim Clenney, testified that he was unaware his daughter was creating content on OnlyFans, which reportedly generated about $3 million in earnings. He also described her relationship with Obumseli as “very toxic,” claiming that Obumseli “wasn’t treating her correctly.” In 2024, Clenney’s parents were arrested on allegations of evidence tampering related to the case, but those charges were later dismissed after a judge ruled that privileged communications had been improperly obtained.
During a court appearance earlier this year, Clenney drew attention after appearing to make faces and blow kisses. She had originally been set to stand trial on a second-degree murder charge, but after several delays, the case will no longer proceed to trial following the plea agreement.
