Teen Alleges D4vd Previously Joked About Cutting Her Arms Off During Their Online Relationship

A teenage fan has shared details about her alleged interactions with D4vd, revealing that she initially dismissed the singer’s dark jokes but now finds them disturbing amid the ongoing murder investigation involving Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

The fan, who Rolling Stone identified as Jane using a pseudonym to protect her identity, claimed that D4vd made an unsolicited joke about himself and his alter-ego cutting off her arms.

The alter-ego was described as a knife-carrying, manga-inspired character who wore blindfolds “for the sole purpose of not being held accountable for the pain he causes,” according to an explanation shared on D4vd’s YouTube channel.

Jane told the publication that she was only 16 when she interacted with the singer, who was 18 at the time. She alleged that they began communicating in the summer of 2022 after D4vd’s hit song “Romantic Homicide” gained popularity, with their conversations taking place through texts and phone calls.

“We were joking around, and I said, ‘I would win in a karate fight with Itami.’ David said I could never beat Itami in a fight,” Jane told Rolling Stone. “He joked about him and Itami doing a violent act toward me, cutting my arms off. It was a joke, but it came out of nowhere.”

Although Jane said she viewed the comment as harmless banter at the time, she admitted that looking back, it now feels “really eerie.”

“When the autopsy report got released, and it showed how her arms were cut off, I was like, ‘This is insane.’ When I saw that, my heart dropped,” Jane recalled.

“Was it his subconscious wanting to do that?” she questioned. “I don’t know.”

Jane also described D4vd as a good friend, saying he did not smoke or drink and had strong religious beliefs. She claimed their relationship ended around mid-2023 after he told her they were at different “maturity” levels and needed some distance.

“He basically said that in a few years, my whole perspective might change on everything,” she told Rolling Stone. “He said once I’m out of high school, we could see if we could be friends again … He was touring, he had a music career starting. I was in high school, not really able to travel around to even hang out.”

According to CNN, prosecutors have alleged that D4vd and Rivas first exchanged messages online in August 2022, when Rivas was 11 years old. They also claim that a sexual relationship between the two began two years later, and that Rivas became pregnant at age 13 before undergoing an abortion.

“I feel like she got the worst version of him. A different version,” Jane said while speaking about Rivas. “It’s just really shocking and saddening.”

“Sometimes the people who influence you or help shape parts of you can also become people you don’t recognize anymore. And it’s really difficult to process,” she added.

Jane said she was initially hesitant to speak with Rolling Stone because she feared being “misinterpreted,” but she hopes others may also come forward. “Everything new I hear feels so unexpected,” she said.

Late last month, a judge ruled that D4vd will face trial in connection with the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. He is also facing charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 and unlawful mutilation of human remains.

D4vd has pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment without parole or the death penalty.
